Leading with more than 20 years’ experience with scenario planning, foresight, and innovation, Dr. Selin helps clients succeed with proprietary tactics and tools to confront and manage radical uncertainty in our highly fluid contemporary context.

    Dr. Selin has consulted with organizations from around the world, across a wide variety of industries—from energy and high technology to legal and financial services-- and has conducted bespoke engagements and complex scenario planning for multinational companies, utilities, non-profits, laboratories, and cities.

    Dr. Selin's priority focus is on building the capacities of her clients in strategy, foresightful action, and better decision making. In her highly credentialed learning by doing approach, discovery and insight are co-mingled with actionable results and concrete deliverables. Nurturing the development of leaders and their teams, designing better organizational structures and processes, and developing meaningful outcomes are part of the equation. This mode of collaboration means the learning and impacts are embedded within the organization, leading to longer lasting results that are essential in this time of intractable uncertainty which requires ongoing and vigilant attention on disruptive change.

     

    Scenaric’s approach is grounded in empirical and theoretical research— Dr. Selin has written over 40 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and edited peer-reviewed special issues and books. She is an Associate Professor at Arizona State University and Associate Fellow at University of Oxford where, since 2013, she teaches in the award-winning Oxford Scenarios Programme.
